Do you want:

  • to highlight your environmental credentials?
  • to generate positive PR?
  • to engage staff in activities to reduce waste at work and at home?
  • to save money?

Then get involved in:

  • Recycle Week (23-29 September 2019)
  • European Week for Waste Reduction (16-24 November 2019)
  • Pass it on Week (7-15 March 2020).

Both EWWR and Pass it on Week are activities supported by the European Regional Development Fund.

These weeks of action provide great opportunities for your organisation to hold events on the back of national PR campaigns and free digital resources.  We provide a theme, ideas, posters, PR and social media.  Your involvement could be as simple as putting up posters, sharing social media, or organising events such as the following:

  • Recycle Week – Set up recycling (including food waste) facilities, do a bin audit, do a campaign to improve recycling or set up new recycling facilities for items such as crisp packets with Terracycle.
  • European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) – Run a plastic free week, a campaign around re-usable cups, install water fountains, hold a waste-free lunch or reduce packaging on your products or supplies.
  • Pass it on Week – Look at how you can re-use, rent or repair your organisation’s assets, hold a swap shop or set up a marketplace for staff to donate, swap or sell unwanted items.

These are just suggestions, but anything goes! Follow us on Facebook or Twitter for updates.
