How to motivate your staff to recycle better and reduce waste

Get the support of your colleagues and make your recycling projects a success.
Recycling webinar - office worker putting plastic bottle into recycling bin

Scotland took the biggest step forward ever seen in waste management, collection and recycling in January 2014 when the new Waste (Scotland) Regulations come into force.

Since then, over the last five years, our workplaces have been transformed, with more businesses recycling more paper, card, plastic, metals, glass and food than ever before.

Asking staff to adopt and maintain new behaviours isn’t always easy though.

Five years on, do you still find recyclable materials in your general waste bin more often than you would like? Or cross contamination between your different waste streams, no matter how well you think you’ve labelled your bins? Perhaps you just get frustrated by the amount of waste your business produces and know there are opportunities to reduce it, if you could get your staff fully on board?

If you do, this webinar will help you to run campaigns and initiatives that will motivate people across your business to recycle better and to find new ways of eliminating waste in the first place, before it becomes an issue.

We’ll share our staff engagement experience, hints, and tips - along with a suite of professional communications tools that you can start using in your business straight away, for free.

We will also be joined by a range of guests who will share their experiences of engaging staff to adopt new behaviours in their organisations. This is a great opportunity for you to pick up some winning, tried-and tested project ideas for your business.
